Prop firms for options trading
Options programs exist, but not in our covered firms
You can find prop programs that name options, but do not assume a futures or forex challenge includes them. Retail prop challenges commonly focus on futures or forex / CFDs. The pages we read name Vanquish, TradeFundrr and Maverick Trading for options, with different descriptions of evaluations, capital and profit sharing.
None of the 14 firms covered on this site names options among its offered markets on the official pages we read in October 2026. Their listed markets include futures, forex / CFDs, crypto, indices, commodities or stocks. That is a finding about those pages, not a claim that options prop programs do not exist.
Before paying, distinguish a simulated evaluation from a live capital arrangement. Challenges are paid evaluations on simulated accounts; most traders do not pass, and the fee is usually lost when they fail. Funded accounts are also simulated at most firms. Our guide to how prop firms work explains that distinction.
Programs whose sources name options
Vanquish lists options trading permissions on its evaluation page dated April 4, 2022. That page states a 10% profit target, at least 10 trades and a 30% consistency requirement. It also lists a 5% loss limit and intraday trailing drawdown. This is an older source, so confirm that the program and these rules remain available before paying.
TradeFundrr describes a funded simulated options account in its September 2024 publication. It says traders begin with an evaluation and must reach a profit target while following the rules. The published page does not state the target amount or evaluation fee.
The same TradeFundrr publication states a 100% profit split for stocks and options, but explicitly advises verifying current terms in writing. Treat that percentage as a dated statement, not a confirmed current payout offer.
Maverick Trading identifies itself as an options prop firm. It says traders use its capital, keep 65–90% of profits and receive monthly payouts. The published source has no publication date and does not state the entry fee, account size or qualification requirements. Its capital description differs from TradeFundrr’s explicit simulated-account description; confirm the account arrangement directly.
Check capital, costs and options-specific limits
Capital wording matters. TradeFundrr explicitly calls its funded options account simulated, while Maverick says traders use its capital. Vanquish’s published evaluation details do not establish what capital arrangement follows qualification. Do not treat these descriptions as interchangeable or infer a live allocation from the word funded.
The only published options-program cost is Vanquish’s $49 reset, listed on its April 4, 2022 page. A reset fee is not the initial evaluation fee. This is not a fee verified as listed in October 2026; the pages we read do not state current entry fees for these programs.
Vanquish’s intraday trailing drawdown means the loss floor can move during the trading day rather than remaining fixed. The published page names the mechanism but does not state the full calculation. Confirm what moves the floor and what triggers a breach before trading. Our trailing versus static drawdown guide explains the general distinction.
Vanquish requires all trades to close by 3:59pm EST or face automatic liquidation with a market order. That rule does not suit a strategy requiring positions to remain open beyond that deadline. Its 30% consistency requirement also needs clarification: the published page states the percentage but not the calculation.
TradeFundrr advises checking permitted options strategies, risk per position and exact loss-limit and drawdown definitions. Those are checks to make, not a published list of TradeFundrr restrictions. The source does not state which structures are allowed or how position risk is measured.
Futures and stocks are separate alternatives
If you intend to trade futures instead, use our futures prop firms list. Topstep, Apex Trader Funding, Take Profit Trader, My Funded Futures, Lucid Trading and Alpha Futures name futures in the pages we read. Tradeify names futures and forex. None of those published market descriptions names options.
If you want stocks rather than options, our Trade The Pool firm page covers the stock program on this site. Trade The Pool says you can trade almost any stock or ETF listed on US markets. That statement does not establish permission to trade options on those stocks or ETFs.
The forex-category firms also do not establish options access. FTMO, FundedNext, The5ers, FundingPips and E8 Markets name various markets, but none names options in the pages published. The reason we do not present them as options choices is their stated market coverage; the sources do not explain why they omit options.
Confirm these terms before paying
- Get written confirmation that options are permitted in both the evaluation and the account offered after qualification. Vanquish’s published permission applies to its evaluation.
- Ask whether the account is simulated or uses live capital. TradeFundrr explicitly describes a simulated funded options account.
- Confirm the current entry fee, reset fee and other charges. The published options pages do not state current entry fees, and Vanquish’s $49 reset comes from April 2022.
- Ask which options structures are allowed and how risk per position is measured. A position count alone does not answer the risk-measurement question identified by TradeFundrr.
- Get the exact loss-limit and drawdown breach calculations. For Vanquish, also request the calculation behind its 30% consistency requirement.
- Check mandatory closing times. Vanquish’s dated page requires closure by 3:59pm EST and specifies automatic market-order liquidation otherwise.
- Verify the current profit split and payout conditions in writing. TradeFundrr’s dated 100% statement includes that warning; Maverick states a 65–90% split and monthly payouts.
Questions people ask
Can you trade options with a prop firm?
Yes, the pages we read name options programs at Vanquish, TradeFundrr and Maverick Trading. Their descriptions differ, and the dated Vanquish and TradeFundrr pages need current confirmation. None of the 14 firms covered on this site names options on the pages read in October 2026.
Does Topstep or Apex Trader Funding offer options?
The pages we read name futures for both Topstep and Apex Trader Funding, not options. Those sources do not establish options permission, so do not purchase either challenge on that assumption.
How much does an options prop firm evaluation cost?
The pages we read do not state current evaluation entry fees for the named options programs. Vanquish lists a $49 reset on its April 4, 2022 page, but that is neither a current verified fee nor the initial evaluation price.
Are funded options accounts simulated?
TradeFundrr explicitly describes its funded options account as simulated in its September 2024 publication. Maverick Trading says traders use its capital, while the published Vanquish facts cover evaluation rules. Confirm the actual account arrangement rather than assuming all options programs work alike.
