What Take Profit Trader offers

Take Profit Trader offers a single-step futures Trading Test, followed by PRO and PRO+ accounts. Its pages name TradingView, Tradovate and NinjaTrader as supported platforms. We read the official rules in October 2026.

The rule that most changes the experience is drawdown: the Test uses an end-of-day trailing floor, while PRO uses intraday drawdown. New PRO+ accounts use end-of-day drawdown. Passing the Test does not mean you keep the same loss-limit mechanics in PRO.

Trading Test fees and passing requirements

The Trading Test has a single evaluation step with account-size-specific profit targets and a minimum of 3 trading days. The firm's pages we read do not state the target amounts.

PRO has a standard $130 one-time activation fee, as listed in October 2026, but a separate NOFEE40 promotion waives activation fees. Moving from PRO to PRO+ has no activation fee, and neither PRO nor PRO+ has ongoing monthly fees. Confirm the promotion terms before checkout.

  • 25K Trading Test: $150 per month, as listed in October 2026.
  • 50K Trading Test: $170 per month, as listed in October 2026.

How the loss floor changes

A drawdown floor is the account value you must stay above. In the Test, the floor trails upward as the account gains value, with updates made at the end of the day rather than throughout the session. The Test has no daily loss limit, but that does not remove its overall drawdown restriction.

PRO uses intraday drawdown, so the loss floor can change during the trading session rather than waiting for the close. This matters if you build gains and then give them back before closing a trade. New PRO+ accounts use end-of-day drawdown instead.

The firm's pages we read do not state the account-specific drawdown amounts, exact breach calculation or where the trailing floor stops moving. Confirm those details before sizing trades. A trailing floor moves upward with gains; a static floor stays fixed.

Withdrawals depend on the buffer

PRO withdrawals are available from day one and daily, but the withdrawal buffer equals the account's drawdown amount. Profits above that buffer receive an 80% profit split. Withdrawing profits inside the buffer closes the account and pays a 50% split.

PRO+ has no withdrawal buffer and pays a 90% profit split. The pages state there is no maximum withdrawal amount. They do not state a minimum withdrawal amount, PRO+ payout timing, processing times or a Test fee-refund policy.

Day-one withdrawal availability is not the same as unrestricted access to all profits. For PRO, confirm the buffer amount and the account-closing consequence before requesting money from inside it.

Trading rules change after the Test

News trading is allowed in the Test. PRO and PRO+ prohibit trading during specific major news events. The firm's pages we read do not state the full event list or restricted trading windows, so confirm both before trading around an announcement.

In the Test, a single day cannot make 50% or more of the profit target. This does not fail the account; you can continue trading to satisfy the consistency rule. The explanation also says your biggest day must no longer exceed 50%, so confirm how the boundary is applied. PRO has no consistency rule.

Test and PRO accounts have account-size-specific maximum contract limits, and PRO+ follows the same contract-allotment rules. The pages we read do not state the actual limits. They also do not state whether weekend holding or EAs, bots and automated trading are allowed.

Test accounts may be copy traded, with no stated limit on simultaneous Test accounts. You can trade and copy trade up to 5 PRO accounts or 5 live-market PRO+ accounts. PRO+ copy trading can continue alongside Test accounts. PRO+ requires at least one trade per week to remain active.

Fits you if

  • Futures traders who use TradingView, Tradovate or NinjaTrader.
  • Traders who prefer an end-of-day trailing floor during the Test.
  • News traders who need news trading allowed during evaluation.
  • Copy traders working within the 5-account PRO or PRO+ limit.

What to confirm before paying

Challenges are paid evaluations on simulated accounts. Most traders do not pass, and the fee is usually lost when they fail. Funded accounts are also simulated at most firms; Take Profit Trader describes PRO+ as live-market accounts. A listed account size is not cash you can withdraw.

Compare prop firms by their loss floors, payout restrictions and trading rules, not just fees. Account for monthly Test fees and optional reset costs before paying; you still need to meet the passing requirements.

  • Confirm your account's profit target, drawdown amount, floor calculation and maximum contract limit.
  • Confirm the current monthly fee, renewal and cancellation terms, reset price and activation-fee promotion.
  • Confirm the PRO news restrictions, withdrawal buffer and consequences of withdrawing inside it.
  • Get clarification on weekend holding, automation, payout minimums and fee refunds; the pages we read do not state them.

Take Profit Trader questions

Does Take Profit Trader have a daily loss limit?

The Trading Test has no daily loss limit. It still has an end-of-day trailing drawdown floor, so the absence of a daily limit does not mean losses are unrestricted.

How many trading days do you need to pass Take Profit Trader?

The Test requires at least 3 trading days and the account-specific profit target. You must also satisfy the consistency rule; reaching the target alone is not enough.

Can you withdraw from Take Profit Trader on day one?

PRO withdrawals are available from day one and daily. Profits above the drawdown-sized buffer receive an 80% split. Withdrawing inside the buffer closes the account and pays a 50% split.

Can you trade news on Take Profit Trader?

News trading is allowed in the Test. PRO and PRO+ prohibit trading during specific major news events. Confirm the event list and restricted windows on the official page.
