What Apex offers
Apex Trader Funding offers futures evaluations, including Intraday Trailing Drawdown and EOD programs. Its listed platforms are Rithmic and Wealthcharts. Both evaluations are one-step challenges; its pages also describe Performance Accounts (PAs) and a separate Live Prop Trading Program.
The main distinction is when the loss floor moves. Intraday drawdown follows real-time equity, including unrealized gains. EOD drawdown updates from the closing balance. A trade that gains and then reverses can therefore leave less room on an Intraday account.

Evaluation options and fees
Both evaluations offer 25K, 50K, 100K and 150K accounts. Neither requires minimum trading days, but you must reach the target within 30 calendar days. Intraday access has no extensions; EOD time starts on the purchase date.
- Intraday Trailing Drawdown Evaluation: targets are $1,500 for 25K, $3,000 for 50K, $6,000 for 100K and $9,000 for 150K. Evaluation purchase fees were not stated on the pages we read. As listed in October 2026, the one-time activation fee is $89.
- EOD Evaluation: targets are $1,500 for 25K, $3,000 for 50K, $6,000 for 100K and $9,000 for 150K. Evaluation purchase fees and the activation fee amount were not stated on the pages we read. Activation is a one-time payment per account, not a subscription.
- All-In Evaluation variants follow standard rules. As listed in October 2026, PA activation costs $0; the total purchase price was not stated on the pages we read.
- Apex Live Prop Trading Program: as listed in October 2026, the live account itself has no monthly or upfront account fee. The pages we read do not state an entry target or purchase price.
How the loss floor moves
A trailing floor rises with the account’s highest qualifying balance and never moves down. Intraday evaluation drawdown is $1,000 on 25K, $2,000 on 50K, $3,000 on 100K and $4,000 on 150K. The 25K allowance is 4% of starting balance, while its $1,500 target is 6%. There is no separate daily loss limit, but unrealized gains can raise the floor before you close a trade.
EOD recalculates its floor once per trading day using the highest closing balance. The published 50K example has $2,000 maximum drawdown; other sizes’ drawdown amounts were not stated on the pages we read. Daily loss limits are $500, $1,000, $1,500 and $2,000 for 25K through 150K respectively. The 25K daily limit is 2% of starting balance. Confirm the exact breach and daily-limit enforcement conditions before trading.
Rithmic and Wealthcharts evaluation rules say the Intraday threshold becomes fixed when it reaches the target profit balance. A separate Tradovate rule says it trails indefinitely, although the platform listing names only Rithmic and Wealthcharts. Confirm the platform-specific rule. Intraday and EOD PA floors stop rising at starting balance plus $100.
The Live program starts with $3,000 EOD drawdown. At +$3,100 profit, its floor locks at +$100. The live account closes if its balance reaches $100 or less. Level 1 has no daily loss limit.
Payout eligibility and splits
Intraday PA payout requests require at least 5 qualifying trading days and a $500 minimum request. You receive 100% of approved payouts. A request is automatically denied if your balance falls below the required minimum after submission; that balance requirement was not stated on the pages we read.
An Intraday PA closes after 6 payouts. You must qualify through another evaluation to obtain a new PA. EOD approved payouts also have a 100% split, but the pages we read do not state EOD payout timing or minimums.
Live profits split 90% to you and 10% to Apex. Live payout requests are available daily, and approved profits go to payment processing within 48 hours of the request. This is not a promise of receipt within that period.
Evaluation purchase fees cannot be refunded, transferred or changed to another size or type after purchase.
Rules beyond drawdown
For Intraday PAs, no single profitable day may represent 50% or more of profit earned since the last approved payout. This limits payout eligibility for traders whose profits come mainly from one day. EOD evaluations have no consistency rule; Live Level 1 also has none.
Activate your PA within 7 calendar days of the official evaluation pass. You may hold up to 20 active PAs across all types combined. An Intraday PA closes unless you record at least 2 days with $50 net profit within 30 consecutive calendar days.
You cannot pass evaluations by hedging them against each other. Trading must be independent and directional, not offsetting across accounts. The pages we read do not state news-trading, weekend-holding or EA/bot permissions; do not treat that silence as permission.
Fits you if
- Futures traders comfortable with a floor that rises and never falls.
- Traders who want no minimum evaluation trading days.
- Traders who prefer EOD floor updates and can respect a separate daily loss limit.
Skip it if
- Traders who need more than 30 calendar days for an evaluation.
- Intraday traders whose open profits frequently reverse.
- Traders seeking refundable or transferable evaluation fees.
- Infrequent traders unable to meet Intraday PA activity requirements.
What to check before paying
These rules were checked in October 2026. Challenges are paid evaluations on simulated accounts. Most traders do not pass, and the fee is usually lost when they fail. Funded accounts are also simulated at most firms; distinguish a PA from Apex’s separate Live program.
- Confirm the current purchase fee, activation charge and whether the offer is standard or All-In.
- Confirm your platform’s floor behavior, exact breach trigger and EOD daily-loss enforcement.
- Check payout balance requirements, qualifying-day definitions and EOD payout terms.
- Get explicit news, weekend and automated-trading permissions before using those strategies.
- Compare documented rules across prop firms, not just advertised account sizes.
